We are a dinosaur house and my son has us reading this HUGE dinosaur guide from cover-to-cover。 I spent a long time looking for a big source book with lots of dinosaurs and lots of pictures。 This is the best one I've found and we're always learning something new as we flip through these dazzling pages。I can't wait for the museums to open back up, because I foresee us taking this gem along for a dinosaur scavenger hunt! Dinosaurs continue to fascinate us - they were here, then they were gone。 Who were they? How did they live? Where did they live? What did they eat? What happened to them? And how many different kinds of dinosaurs do we know about? If your young readers are curious about these creatures from our prehistoric era, this is the book that will probably answer all of their questions。 There is even a section of the great dinosaur hunters and what it is like to be out on a dig looking for dino remains。 K Dinosaurs continue to fascinate us - they were here, then they were gone。 Who were they? One-by-one the dinosaurs are introduced。 Every dinosaur that’s ever been discovered can be found within these pages。 Colorful illustrations share how dinosaurs defended themselves and other facts about the period they were in, their names and the meaning, where the fossils were found and even how big they were。 “Oviraptor is a dinosaur with reputation it never deserved。 It got its name, “egg thief,” when it was mistakenly thought to have stolen eggs from the nest of a planet-eater。 Many kinds of One-by-one the dinosaurs are introduced。 Every dinosaur that’s ever been discovered can be found within these pages。 Colorful illustrations share how dinosaurs defended themselves and other facts about the period they were in, their names and the meaning, where the fossils were found and even how big they were。 “Oviraptor is a dinosaur with reputation it never deserved。 It got its name, “egg thief,” when it was mistakenly thought to have stolen eggs from the nest of a planet-eater。 Many kinds of duck-billed dinosaurs thrived in Asia, South American, and the North American West at the end of dinosaur time。 In 2016, scientists were surprised to discover that the earliest duck-billed dinosaurs may have come from the eastern United States。”This gigantic book is divided into 4 categories that will help readers understand what a dinosaur was, what family the dinosaurs belonged to and a glossary and recommended books, sites and videos kids can review to learn more。 Paleontologist Darren Naish and dinosaur expert Don Lessem both have contributed to this amazing book and have a special note for readers。 The front pages are host to instructions on how to use this book so readers can get the most out of it。 Parents, teachers, caregivers will love this book to keep young readers learning and growing。 。。。more

Another great and interesting book about the species "dinosaur" from the good folks at National Geographic Kids。 What was really surprising to me is the huge chart/ table of dinosaurs by name and where they are located。 I had no idea there were so many types。 I received a complimentary copy to facilitate a review of my own, freely given opinion。 Another great and interesting book about the species "dinosaur" from the good folks at National Geographic Kids。 What was really surprising to me is the huge chart/ table of dinosaurs by name and where they are located。 I had no idea there were so many types。 I received a complimentary copy to facilitate a review of my own, freely given opinion。 。。。more
